Q. |
What exactly is a good night’s sleep? |
|
A. |
To be at your best is as individual as the amount of food you need. It isn't always the number of hours
of sleep that matter, but how good you feel and how well you're able to perform each day. Individual sleep needs vary considerably from person-to-person and depend also on a number of external factors such as motivation and mood.
Some people need less than 7 hours, but others require up to 9 hours to feel wide awake and to function at their peak level. However, the quality of sleep -- which includes keeping regular sleep schedules, proper exercise and nutrition, is as important as quantity and in most cases, can make a significant difference.

Q. |
What is the right amount of sleep you should get each night?
|
|
A. |
It’s different for every person – but, 7 – 8 hours a night is what the average person needs. If you find yourself sleepy during the day, you probably need more sleep at night. Or, if you sleep longer on the weekends than during the week, you probably need more sleep during the week. |

Q. |
Can a mattress really affect how you sleep?
|
|
A. |
Yes – the type of mattress either has the potential to encourage or rob you of sleep. If you’re tossing and turning at night or if you’re waking up feeling stiff and sore – it could be a sign that your current mattress is no longer beneficial for you. |

Q. |
What is the benefit of an Adjustable Sleep System? |
|
A. |
Contrary to popular belief, our bodies are not designed to sleep on a completely flat surface. In
order to get authentic, restorative sleep, our back needs to be slightly elevated for better
breathing and our feet should also be somewhat elevated for proper circulation. Most importantly, having our upper and lower body slightly elevated alleviates the pressure we often feel in our lower back.

Q. |
What is the advantage of Latex vs.
a Spring Mattress? |
|
A. |
Latex is a natural product that’s cool in the summer and warm in the winter, and will last for years.
The surface elasticity of a Latex mattress allows for greatly diminished pressure on the body (and on sore joints and muscles), while conforming to the body. The result is tremendous comfort and less tossing and turning. Natural latex also has outstanding porosity. It is ventilated and therefore breathes, making it a remarkable cool and restful sleeping surface; a surface that remains motionless because when one person moves, the other doesn’t feel it. Latex mattresses compensate for the lack of a shock-absorbing box spring under the mattress. The result is comfort without feeling stiffness or a board underneath.
